For scuba divers, managing buoyancy is primarily achieved through a buoyancy control device (BCD). This equipment enables divers to adjust their buoyancy by inflating or deflating the BCD, which changes their volume and, consequently, their buoyancy. Inflating the BCD makes you more buoyant, causing you to ascend slightly, while deflating it will make you less buoyant, allowing you to descend.
