As a recreational diver, following specific procedures and guidelines and being well-informed about entry and exit procedures, maximum dive time and depth are crucial. Remind them to end their dive when they reach a minimum gas reserve and to make safety stops. In areas with boat traffic, they must use a surface marker buoy to increase visibility. Additionally, you should remind everyone that these are no-decompression dives.
Importance of Diver AccountingChoosing a supervisory vantage point requires predicting and responding to potential problems. Ideally, you want to be able to see divers and quickly assist them if needed. However, finding a location with optimal views and response capabilities is rare. In some cases, you can quickly move from a good viewing point to the best response point, while in other cases, the two locations may be far apart, and you will have to make a judgment call.
